Universal Woman | Signature Collector Artwork

Universal Woman is an original t•Ana Couture artwork about transformation, feminine presence and the universe carried within.

Part of the Maison’s Universe Collection, the work grew from the visual language first explored through Universe Inside My Palms. Its history reaches back to an earlier painting that was transformed rather than discarded, allowing renewal to become part of the work itself. That act of artistic rebirth reflects one of its central ideas: what has already lived can be re-seen, reworked and given another form.

The composition brings together a celestial blue female figure, sculptural texture, florals and feather-like forms. The closed eyes turn the figure inward, suggesting self-knowledge, intuition and an inner world larger than what can be seen externally. Around her, the cosmic atmosphere speaks to possibility, memory and the idea that every person carries an interior universe of thought, experience, light and becoming.

For Anna Tsigaridou, Universal Woman is also connected to perseverance, Renaissance and rebirth. It reflects the capacity to move through difficulty without losing tenderness; to transform experience into wisdom, and to choose compassion, love and kindness as forms of strength.

Within the deeper symbolism of the work, the feminine figure can be read as a sacred portal to self-remembrance: the Holy Grail understood not as an external object, but as something held within. The work also carries the symbolic resonance of Mary Magdalene as a figure of transformation, inner sovereignty and the reclamation of feminine wisdom. These references are not intended as a single fixed interpretation; they form part of the painting’s wider meditation on renewal, spiritual awakening and the many forms a woman may contain within one self.

The artwork was exhibited in 2018 during a formative period that helped lead to the creation of t•Ana Couture, making it an important part of the Maison’s artistic origin as well as a standalone work.
