Reimagining what already exists has been part of my creative practice for as long as I can remember.
Before it became a language of sustainability, it was simply instinct: to look at an artwork, garment, piece of furniture or textile and imagine what else it could become.
Creation Beyond First Use
Across art, fashion and interiors, I have often worked by transforming, repainting, rebuilding or combining existing materials with something new. That instinct became part of t•Ana Couture through transformed handbags, restored furnishings, archive textiles and selected pre-loved pieces.
For me, circular creation is not about making something old appear new. It is about recognising the value already held within it and asking whether thoughtful design can extend its life.
Compassion as a Design Principle
The philosophy connects to something wider within the Maison: compassion for animals, people, materials and the environment in which we create.
That does not mean presenting every material choice as perfect. It means remaining curious, reducing unnecessary waste where possible, using what already has value and continuing to search for better alternatives as materials and processes evolve.
Rare Finds & Transformation
Some pieces deserve to remain intact. Others invite reinterpretation. Rare Finds allows both ideas to coexist: selected designer discoveries alongside pieces transformed through the t•Ana point of view.
A previous life can become part of a richer story.
